My name is Sylvia Kassoff. I received my Master's Degree in Counseling
and Human Services from John Carroll University, and my Bachelor's Degree
in Psychology from Ursuline College in the USA. I have extensive experience
working with diverse populations, cultures, and issues, both in Israel as well
as in the United States, including a variety of clinical settings such as psychiatric
hospitals, detox and rehab clinics for chemical dependency, outreach work on the
streets, individual, family and group therapy.
I specialize in work with children, adolescents and families. My services focus on the emotional aspects of Aliyah, adjustment, and coping with life transitions.
My academic and professional work emphasize psychotherapy skills, individual growth, awareness, and empowerment as an essential means for change.
I believe that our personal experiences shape who we are and how we relate to our world. Each journey is unique, thus my approach with each individual depends on their particular needs and trusts their internal resources, strengths, and wisdom.
